Adoption Update

Since so much information is restricted until we have our court date, this will be short and sweet.  We thought we were waiting for a baby from Ethiopia, but we are so thrilled to announce that the Lord lead us to adopt a darling little boy who was listed on the waiting child's list from our agency. We first saw him the day after all of our paperwork was completed and we were finally DTE. He reminded me of our kids, and the Lord began softening my heart and showing me how the "older kids" need homes too. The idea of getting a baby wasn't important to me anymore. The Lord was working on Kevin too, because it didn't take long before we were both convinced that he was supposed to be our son. We have accepted his referral, and are now waiting for a court date. That is when we will travel to Ethiopia and get to spend a week with him (yippee!), go to court and have the judge declare him as our son, then come back to the states while his visa is prepared. Approximately 1 to 3 months later, we go back to Africa and bring him home forever! We are so thrilled. The Lord is amazing and so good to us. We are so very blessed to have this sweet precious child across the ocean who will complete our family. The kids are so excited too. We know he is in good hands, and that is very comforting. I am sad to say we can not share his photo or any other information about him until after our court date, so be patient, all good things come to those who wait. :)
Now, we are preparing our home and hearts for our new son to come home. Please join us in prayer for him. We are just so overjoyed!!
